Nashik Onion Season Price Update & Mandi Arrivals Market Forecast

Onion prices out of Nashik move week to week. They follow arrivals at the Lasalgaon and Pimpalgaon mandis, the quality of the current crop, and how much container space is available at Nhava Sheva. That is why we share export prices as weekly quotations rather than fixed lists.

What drives the price this season

• Mandi arrivals. When Kharif onions start reaching the mandis in volume, supply widens and prices usually ease. Late rains or a delayed harvest can push them the other way.
• Storage stock. Stored Rabi onions bridge the gap until fresh arrivals settle, and their quality affects both shelf life and price.
• Size and grade. Larger, uniform sizes such as 55 mm and above for Gulf markets cost more than mixed grades.
• Freight and policy. Container rates, reefer availability and any change in export policy all feed into the final FOB or CIF figure.
